12th Annual Breckebeiner 60K Nordic Ski-a-thon

The Breckenridge Nordic Center will host the 12th Annual Breckebeiner 60K Ski-a-thon on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Breckenridge Breckebeiner 60K Ski-a-thon!

This fundraising event will benefit the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, a local organization that provides assistance, programs and opportunities for adults and children with disabilities to experience the outdoors. Approximately 2,000 participants with disabilities and special needs benefit each year from this program, which was established more than 38 years ago.

The Breckebeiner 60K is not a relay, so teams can ski the groomed nordic trail together. The Nordic Center course offers a 6K loop series, a 3K snowshoe loop series and a 1K snowshoe loop for families with young children. There will also be a children’s treasure hunt.

Teams of 2-10 are encouraged to dress up in funky costumes as there will be a costume contest. Participants will also enjoy live entertainment by Helmet Fricker and Gene Dayton, door prizes, warm food and more!

Rentals are available at the Nordic Center at a reduced rate for all participants.
